Dues & Billing

Arrears

Money a member owes that is past its due date; being 'in arrears' means behind on payments.

Updated August 9, 2026

Arrears refers to dues or fees that remain unpaid after their deadline. A member 'in arrears' is behind on what they owe. Chapters track arrears closely because unpaid balances directly reduce the budget, and many organizations restrict privileges (voting, events) for members significantly in arrears.
